On 24 June 2026, Wellbeingr, in collaboration with IASIS, co-organised the workshop "Joy and Laughter for Health and Wellbeing", together with the wonderful Antigoni Louka, a Physical Education graduate, Physiotherapist, and Certified Joy & Laughter Trainer, who reminded us of the importance of consciously caring for our health and overall wellbeing.
The workshop offered a meaningful opportunity for around 20 participants to experience first-hand that joy is not merely an emotion, but a conscious daily choice and a skill that can be cultivated. Through experiential laughter, breathing and connection exercises, participants strengthened their connection with themselves and with one another, while also discovering simple, practical tips they can incorporate into their daily lives to enhance their wellbeing and improve their overall quality of life.
At the same time, Antigoni presented the scientific evidence supporting the benefits of these practices for both mental and physical health, highlighting the importance of intentionally cultivating joy as part of everyday life.
The experience concluded with free movement, improvisational dance and music, celebrating joy in its most authentic expression.
At Wellbeingr, we believe that joy is not simply an emotion that appears from time to time, but a way of life that can be nurtured through mindful presence, gratitude, movement, meaningful human connection, and small daily practices of self-care.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Antigoni Louka for her invaluable contribution, her boundless positive and uplifting energy, and her genuine kindness, all of which enabled us to offer moments of joy, connection and wellbeing to those who took part.
Our warm congratulations also go to IASIS AT CENTRO for its remarkable work in providing psychosocial support to people in need and for its significant contribution to the promotion of mental health.
