Wellbeingr at the WHO event “Growing Healthier Together”

Saturday, May 10, 2025

11:00-17:00
Zappeion Garden, Athens

Wellbeingr participated in a special event, “Growing Healthier Together,” successfully organized by WHO Europe, at the Zappeion Garden in Athens on Saturday, May 10, 2025 (11:00–17:00).

Wellbeingr had the honor of actively participating in this event with the interactive performance on stage titled “Schools that Care, Children that Thrive | The Holistic School for Mental and Educational Wellbeing” presenting the EU Guidelines on Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools in an interactive way. The activity featured educational psychologist Glykeria Reppa, Lecturer in Educational Psychology at Neapolis University Pafos, psychologist and author, and high school students Fryni Tselepí and Mira Dala, and it was developed in collaboration with Michalis Kakos, Associate Professor at Leeds Beckett University and Founder-Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Citizenship, Education and Society (CIRCES), UK.

During the whole day, the Wellbeingr booth was full of smiles and positive energy from visitors and, of course, from the tireless volunteers who supported us with such enthusiasm! Creativity and hope blossomed through experiential activities for both children and adults at the booth – including the Self-Care Dice, the Alphabet of Emotions, the School Wellbeing Tree, the Feelings Playlist, and the Jar of Positive Emotions. These activities aimed to promote self-care, emotional intelligence, positive thinking, and personal empowerment.

We feel deep gratitude toward WHO Greece and their team in Athens – Joao Breda, Jennifer Hall, Penny Kalpaxi, Dimitris Kotsis, and the whole group – for their warm hospitality and support in this initiative. They deserve heartfelt congratulations for the valuable work they do in Greece, particularly in addressing sensitive health issues, and especially those related to mental health and wellbeing.

Wellbeingr’s participation in the event is part of its broader initiative to promote the European Commission’s Guidelines on Mental Health and Wellbeing in Schools, aiming to raise awareness and inform educators and policymakers.
